Dr. Andreea Anton
I dedicated the last 11 years caring for patients with skin complaints. I am committed to deliver the best possible care to improve the quality of life of people affected by skin disorders.
I am a trained Consultant Dermatologist, currently undertaking a role as Consultant Dermatologist at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust, one of the world’s leading centres for patients with skin problems.
I qualified in medicine in 2009 with distinction followed by 5 years of intensive Dermatology training from 2010 to 2015. I successfully completed higher specialist training in Dermatology in a very competitive rotation in 2015 in Bucharest. During this time, I gained experience and a great amount of knowledge pertaining to the diverse fields of Dermatology.
I am a member of the British Association of Dermatology, Royal College of Physicians (RCP), European Academy of Dermatovenereology and International Society of Dermoscopy.
I relocated to the UK in 2016 when I joined the Dermatology team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in London, a leading teaching hospital where I have worked as a Locum Consultant Dermatologist for over 4 years.
My areas of specialist interest include acne, rosacea, moles, skin cancer, mole removals, skin surgery, hair loss (alopecia areata, female pattern hair loss, telogen effluvium). I carry out regular NHS skin cancer and surgery clinics and I got involved from prevention campaigns and early detection to treatment of severe cases by different procedures (surgical excision or non-surgical intervention such as topical fluorouracil, imiquimod, PDT).
My education and training have provided me with a great amount of knowledge pertaining to the diverse fields of Dermatology. I have been involved in the treatment of a great variety of skin diseases such as skin cancer (melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma), bullous disorders, genodermatoses, severe acne, psoriasis, drug eruptions, hair and scalp diseases (alopecia areata, lichen planopilaris, androgenetic alopecia, telogen effluvium), contact dermatitis (allergic, irritant, photodermatitis), connective tissue diseases and vasculitis.
I take great pride in caring for patients and tailoring treatments to deliver the very best results for their individual needs and circumstances.
